4 Goals I Have For This Month

4 goals for the month of october

  1. Get the nursery organized for baby p- We are those neurotic people who had all the nursery furniture within a week of finding out I was pregnant. Now we need to set it all up! I have a lot of goodies to wash and put away and need to start getting a system set up for the closet and changing table.
  2. Be better with our budget- We both have been working hard to hit a certain savings number by the time baby p arrives so we can be financially sound. It’s so hard to avoid all those cute little items but I need to hold off and only buy the essentials now.
  3. Take time to have at least one date night with Dino Boy this month-We both have been working nights or have extra curriculars going on. We now only have Wednesday nights together so we need to make the most of it without just laying at home and binge watching The Office.
  4. Start training Boomer- We haven’t been the best at training him and now we have some pretty good motivation to keep him in line. I am hoping we can stay strong even after looking at that cute little face!

Some Exciting News To Share!

Dino Boy and I are very excited to announce that our little family will be growing to three!
first-comes-love

Baby P, as we have come to refer to the little nugget (because “it” just doesn’t feel right) will be arriving April 1st!

We are so excited that we will soon be parents and take this next step in our lives and journey together. Learning that we will be parents has brought Dino Boy and I even closer together and we have learned even more about each other.

It is so exciting that we will soon get share all the fun aspects and tradition of our childhood with a little one. We’re also really excited to be able to go watch kids movies without getting the judging looks we currently get.

We found out we would be parents in late July, and since then there has been quite a few interesting things that we both agree on and a few things that we disagree on that the jury is still out on.

Things we agree on

Baby P will love Star Wars and Dino Boy will make numerous “I am your father” jokes

Baby P will be a fan of dinosaurs and we will all have matching dinosaur onesies

As soon as Baby P is 42 inches tall we’re going to Disneyland

Baby P will love French Bulldogs, how could he not when he has Boomer as a big brother?

Things we disagree on

Gender-I think it’s a girl, Dino Boy is convinced it’s a boy

Sports-The baby will be a Red Sox fan. Dino Boy disagrees. Either way, Baby P will have two grandfathers who will be buying them lots of sports clothes.

Things we have no doubt about

We are going to love the bejeezus out of this little nugget, and we can’t wait to meet them!

We’re excited that we’ve reached the point where we can begin sharing our news and excitement with everyone! What’s the best advice you would give to soon to be parents?

Your Zodiac Sign Says to Carry This Handbag to Your Next Wedding

Finding the right handbag is hard work. Not only does it have to hold your essentials (read: a small drugstore’s worth of makeup and fashion tape), it has to effortlessly complement your dress and shoes. Take the stress out of this often last minute decision by looking to the stars for guidance. Below, discover the best handbag to carry to your next event by your zodiac sign. These insights will help you choose the perfect bag to finish your look, no matter where you’re headed.

Libra (September 23 – October 22)

SHOP:  DRESS, JILL JILL STUART; CLUTCH, REBECCA MINKOFF

As a laid back Libra, you need a handbag that’s as easygoing as you. We suggest opting for a soft leather clutch in a color that’s polished, yet still playful. This way you’ll be prepared no matter what your schedule has in store, whether it’s a cocktail party with colleagues or or a brunch date with the girls.

Scorpio (October 23 to November 21)

SHOP: JUMPSUIT, REBECCA MINKOFF; CLUTCH, LIZZIE FORTUNATO; SUNGLASSES, BALENCIAGA

Bold, spirited, stylish, Scorpios are the ultimate sartorial risk takers. Instead of settling for a neutral bag, express your passion for experimentation with a printed clutch. Take a risk by pairing your go-to basics with a clutch featuring a bold pattern you’ve never tried. This small step outside of your comfort zone will open new territories for your personal style.

Sagittarius (November 22 to December 21)

SHOP: DRESS, ML MONIQUE LLHUILLIER; CLUTCH, KATE SPADE

Your optimism shines through in all aspects of your life, from your behavior to your style. Showcase your unique ability to spread sunshine by carrying a quirky clutch that turns heads and makes people smile. A clutch with a fun, creative design — like a sailboat, for instance — is sure to add a whimsical touch to your look (and your Instagrams).

Capricorn (December 22 to January 19)

SHOP A SIMILAR CLUTCH HERE

Determined, practical, helpful — all are among the winning qualities of Capricorn women. These characteristics are ideal for the office, but often get in the way of style spontaneity when it comes to your closet. Use your next event as a chance to push the limits of your natural tendencies and try a look you’ve never dreamed of wearing. An intricate, beaded clutch, for example, is a great way to add unexpected texture to your feminine look.

Aquarius (January 20 to February 18)

SHOP: DRESS, SHOSHANNA; NECKLACE, KENNETH JAY LANE; BAG, LOEFFLER RANDALL

You’re known for your inspiring imagination, Aquarius. Friends are fond of your playful spirit and comfort towards risk-taking. This makes you a natural trendsetter. Put this gift to work and opt for an unconventional handbag-outfit pairing. Styling a cocktail dress with a daytime cross body bag, for example, will show off your inventive approach to personal style.

Pisces (February 19 to March 20)

SHOP: DRESS, RACHEL ZOE; CLUTCH, DIANE VON FURSTENBERG

It’s no secret your appreciation for the finer things makes you an elegant dresser.  As a romantic sophisticate, you gravitate towards soft shades and feminine silhouettes. Compliment this style with a clutch featuring metallic details. The pairing is cool, classic and polished, just like your winning charm.

Aries (March 21 to April 19)

SHOP: DRESS, SUNO; BAG, OPENING CEREMONY

Show off your cool, confident vibe with a rule-breaking bag. Instead of carrying a clutch to your next evening affair, rock a cross body that’s as playful as your personality. Don’t be surprised if you start a trend within your group of close girlfriends. Your effortless ability to take risks is infectious, Aries, so you might as well own it.

Taurus (April 20 to May 20)

SHOP: DRESS, CYNTHIA ROWLEY; CLUTCH, DIANE VON FURSTENBERG

Your elevated taste makes you a lover of the classics, Taurus, and you wear them well. Channel your inner Grace Kelley, as you often do so effortlessly, and pick out a handbag that expresses your timeless style. A structured clutch with a modern finish should be your go-to standard for formal affairs and nights on the town.

Gemini (May 21 to June 20)

SHOP: DRESS, PRABAL GURUNG; CLUTCH, SONDRA ROBERTS

To match your dynamic personality, carry a handbag that starts a conversation, like a marbled clutch. Not only is this choice chic, it’s also adaptable, which will certainly come in handy given your spontaneous mood and spirit of adventure. In one minute you’ll be seen at a post-work function, and in the next you’ll be making an appearance at a friend’s cocktail party. We suggest selecting a bag your comfortable bringing along for the ride.

Cancer (June 21 to July 22)

SHOP: DRESS, ALEXIS; BAG, SHOP SIMILAR

Your loyalty is one of your best qualities, Cancer, which is why your ideal handbag should be tried and true. You dislike change, so find a bag that will go with anything, like a ladylike top handle tote. Spice up this classic choice by opting for a bag in an unexpected shade, like blush or blue.

Leo (July 23 to August 22)

SHOP: DRESS, ALLISON PARRIS; CLUTCH, KATE SPADE

Energetic, personable, glamorous — this describes you to a tee, Leo.  You can make something simple look special simply by rocking it with confidence. Use this talent to transform a standard rectangle clutch into a statement piece. This choice will pair perfectly with whatever knockout dress you plan on wearing to your next event.

Virgo (August 23 to September 22)

SHOP: CLUTCH, INGE CHRISTOPHER

Clean lines, smooth textures, sleek details — these are a few of your favorite things, Virgo, which is unsurprising, given your love of organization and precision. Aim to carry a clutch that satisfies your love of refinement, like a rounded clutch in a moody hue. This elevated choice will elevate any outfit you throw together, whether you’re headed to a girl’s night out or your best friend’s wedding.
