Sunday Saying- Attention

Monthly goals for March

The fact that this draft has been sitting in my to do folder for a week says that I need to add one more goal of staying on top of my blogging!

1. Nightly walks– I want to go be outside in the beautiful weather and enjoy the extra hour of sunlight at the end of the day

2. Eat healthier–More fruits and veggies
3. Make time for each other–March is hectic month for both Dino Boy and I but it’s still important to stay connected and make us time
4. Make me time–Spend some time to just relax and rejuvenate. Very important with all of the crazy stuff coming up!
5. Smile!-Life is good, smile at everyone and help spread the cheer!
6. Pick a fun summer trip and book it–Vegas, New York, Hawaii? So many options to choose!
7. Write every day–Even if it’s a journal entry, put pen to paper for a few minutes a day
8. Less TV–We’ve been working at this and it’s important to keep it going
9. Delegate–Lots of projects and things coming up, don’t be afraid to ask other people to pick up some slack
10. Remember to enjoy life–we only get one!

My Favorite Parks and Rec Moments

Sadly, tonight marks the series finale of Parks and Recreation. Parks & Rec is easily mine and Dino Boy’s favorite show…I’m actually a little embarrassed to mention how many times we’ve watched the entire series. It was the show we watched during our wedding planning to calm us down, it’s the show we go to when we need a laugh, and we constantly reference and quote it. I’m sad to see it go, but thankful for all the memories.

With that being said, here are my favorite moments from Parks and Rec!

Treat Yo Self

Whenever I think about making a purchase, I think what would Tom and Donna do? After all, It’s the best day of the year!
Leslie being sick
I refuse to be sick, so I could totally relate to Leslie powering through during this episode.

Donna’s Mercedes
This is probably one of my favorite episodes, Ron gets shot and we discover how much Donna loves her Mercedes

Fart Attack
Sometimes I really feel sorry for Jerry/Larry/Gary, the guy can’t even catch a break when he’s having a heart attack. I’ve also never seen Dino Boy laugh so hard. Click the link above for the actual clip and below for the fart attack sound bite from Tom.

Galentines Day
What’s better than getting together with the girls and celebrating lady friends breakfast style?

Leslie vs. Tammys
Nothing beats a good old fashion drink off for Ron! Leslie drunk makes me laugh every time.

Li’l Sebastian
Li’l Sebastian! Who doesn’t love this little guy who’s the star of the Harvest Festival?! His memorial also provided one of the best moments as well

Snake Juice
Tom’s best invention had to have been snake juice. Seeing the cast go crazy was absolutely hilarious!

Ben’s Proposal
I cried, when I first saw it and I’ve cried every time I’ve watched since. It’s so sweet, it’s so cute, and it’s so real.
Their Marriage
As Dino Boy and I approached our own wedding we actually coordinated our Parks and Rec watching with the date of our ceremony. It worked out perfectly with the marriage episode being what we watched the day before we left for our wedding. It was awesome to watch Ben and Leslie scramble to plan their wedding and have it all come together, even if Jamm tried to screw it up.

Be sure to watch the series finale of Parks and Recreation tonight at 10pm on NBC after the Voice!

Best Buy Wedding Registry!

Wedding Wednesday’s have come and gone, but I recently heard about this new program that I had to share with you guys!
Have you heard that Best Buy launched a wedding registry service in February? When you think of Best Buy you probably don’t think wedding registry. If you’re anything like me you think that they just carry TV’s, computers and DVD’s.
But did you know that Best Buy carries so much more?! Want a new hair dryer? A blender? A vacuum? You can get all of that at Best Buy along with a new camera for the honeymoon and a washer and dryer for the new home!
They’ve also introduced a revolutionary idea called group gifting. Have a big item that you really want but feel guilty asking? With group gifting, multiple people can contribute to the price tag of the item!
A new DSLR camera would have been ah-mazing to capture the Hawaiian sunsets!
Best part is, if there isn’t enough raised to purchase the item, Best Buy will give you the value that was contributed in the form of a gift card! You get 10% off of your purchases after the wedding and free shipping, how cool is that?!
Your fiance will probably be excited to go and register with you as well. They have a ton of gifts that you can both get excited about.  And if he’s not excited, you can always just drop him off at the video game demo center…I know that’s what I had to do with Dino Boy when we registered!
This is how I wish we looked after registering!
I really wish this program existed when we were registering for our wedding. It’s such a cool idea that I had to share!

The reviewer has been compensated in the form of a Best Buy Gift Card and/or received the product/service at a reduced price or for free

Open that bottle tonight!

Dino Boy and I have a running joke about the amount of nice wine we have sitting around that I refuse to consume. In my mind, the two buck chuck and Safeway sale wines are the ones I pour after a rough day and the expensive ones lay around untouched for a good year. This week I opened a nice one, not because we had guest but because it was a Tuesday and I realized I deserve a nice glass. So tonight open a bottle because sometimes the occasion to toast to is just thriving. What is one bottle that you find very special?
